Construction Site Safety Technician - STL

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Construction Site Safety Technician to add to our Goyette Mechanical Construction Division for a construction project in New Florence, MO. Specifically, we are looking for local candidates with a construction background and/or experience in construction management or mechanical project management.

This is a full-time, non-union hourly position with benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• ·         Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with safety requirements mandated by the owner or general contractor of the current contract in addition to Goyette Mechanical’s Safety Policies and Procedures.
• ·          Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
• ·         Responsible for investigating and completing incident investigations to determine the root cause and corrective actions necessary
• ·         Responsible for timely reporting and tracking of all team member worksite injuries
• ·          Ensure project safety pre-planning, subcontractor pre-qualification, and pre-construction meetings are completed as required
• ·         Responsible for conducting job site-specific training
• ·         Assist will all necessary job site inspections including color coding, fall protection, equipment inspections and job hazard assessments (JHAs)
• ·         Be onsite to supervise and assist during the performance of any high-risk activities
• ·         Works closely with the New Florence, MO region personnel, Safety Manager, local Project Managers and Superintendents to implement a safety and education training program in compliance with the Goyette Mechanical. 
• ·         Maintain solid communication with any Regional and Company Safety/Compliance personnel.
• ·         Other duties and tasks as necessary.
