Executive Director (Oregon)

Govig Healthcare Group, the leading executive search firm in Senior Housing, has been retained by a premier senior living organization to find the next Executive Director for a high-performing luxury community located in Oregon.

The Executive Director will be the face and leader of the community leading with presence, judgment, and a deep commitment to hospitality and service excellence. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team engagement within a complex and dynamic environment.

This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who thrives in a relationship-driven culture and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for a large, multi-level senior living community
• Drive a high-quality resident experience rooted in hospitality and service excellence
• Lead, mentor, and support a strong, tenured department head team
• Foster a positive, engaged workplace culture while addressing turnover and team stability initiatives
• Partner with leadership on capital improvement projects and long-term planning
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, margins, and operational efficiency
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and team members in a highly relational environment
• Navigate complex situations with sound judgment and decisiveness

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as an Executive Director or General Manager in a large, complex environment
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage a high-performing asset
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, support, and hold teams accountable
• Background in senior living required; hospitality experience is highly valued
• High emotional intelligence with a relationship-first leadership style
• Ability to operate with confidence, urgency, and sound decision-making
• Experience in luxury, high-end, or entrance-fee communities is a plus
• Open to candidates relocating for the right opportunity
