About The Role
- Work alongside other contractors and government personnel.
- Work with Mechanical Engineers to develop and execute novel testing plans, given that test objectives can differ significantly
- Interpret engineering designs, plans, and diagrams into test setup requirements
- Assist in configuring and operating industrial testing equipment for test events
- Operate and maintain hydraulic and pump systems
- Installing test sensors and control systems (i.e. strain gauges, fiber optic lines, data acquisition systems, etc.) in preparation for tests
- Unscheduled Maintenance: Inspect equipment, and systems to identify any problems. Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures. Perform part or machine disassembly/reassembly as needed to ensure maximum operation.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to plan and schedule repairs.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum of 3 or more years of related experience in automotive/diesel repair/maintenance, industrial machinery repair/maintenance or other relevant field
- Experience reading and understanding mechanical and electrical schematics and diagrams
- Mechanically inclined with desire to learn and troubleshoot on the fly
- Understanding of general maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and techniques for industrial machinery or auto equipment.
- Experience with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Effective problem-solving abilities with written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and quality of work
- Ability to adapt to changing work requirements
- Compliance with health/safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and/or in confined spaces
- Ability to work in a team or individually.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with industrial hydraulics and pumps highly desired
- Experience with actuators, strain gauges, control systems, fiber optics and data acquisition devices
- Experience fabricating custom piping, sheet metal, and mechanical components
