Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize SQL queries and database performance (e.g., memory usage, session activity, backups, long-running queries, and space allocation).
- Create and manage database objects including schemas, tables (with partitioning), views, functions, stored procedures, and roles.
- Participate in the scheduling and automation of database processes.
- Support database re-platforming efforts and contribute to accurate sizing and capacity planning.
- Write scripts for performance monitoring and automation of administrative tasks.
- Maintain database documentation including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Implement and manage centralized database operations in multitenant container environments (CDB/PDB).
- Enforce security and resource policies within shared database infrastructures.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to meet performance and availability requirements.
- 3 years of experience as a physical DBA in environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, Exadata, Postgres, or Microsoft Access.
- Proficient in database data movement, processing, and backup strategies.
- Familiarity with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, DBeaver, TOAD, or Oracle SQL Developer.
- Understanding of Agile workflows; JIRA experience is a plus.
- Experience with Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), Advanced Compression, and Multitenant architecture is desirable.
- Experience with Hadoop, MongoDB, MDM methodologies, or cloud-based platforms is a plus.
- Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Shell, PowerShell, or SQL scripting).
