We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. This role requires a strong understanding of various database technologies and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support business applications.
- Ensure high availability and performance tuning of databases, including MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop and manage ETL processes using SSIS for data integration.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery procedures, and security measures.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas that meet application requirements.
- Utilize Linux and Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automation of routine tasks.
- Conduct troubleshooting of database issues, providing timely resolutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in database administration with a focus on MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of high availability configurations and performance tuning techniques.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and tools such as SSIS.
- Experience with scripting languages including Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is preferred.
- Solid understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
