Our client is a high-end custom residential builder. This is not a speculative builder, and no two projects are the same. Their homes typically range from 4,000 to 6,000 square feet and are extremely detail-driven. A single kitchen has more complexity and coordination than an entire spec house. Some projects include multiple kitchens and highly detailed architectural and interior scopes.
They are looking for a superintendent (sometimes called a Project Manager) with approximately five years of experience. They want someone confident, capable, and still open to learning and growing within our systems and standards.
This is a leadership role, not a hands-on trade position. Their superintendents do not frame or self-perform trade work. They manage people, process, quality, and communication. The right candidate takes pride in leadership, organization, and excellence.
This is a systems-driven role with a meaningful amount of computer work. They use construction software and require consistent daily documentation. The position is solution-oriented, high-energy, and requires strong communication skills.
Some projects are up to about 1–1.5 hours from our office, so the candidate needs to be comfortable with limited daily travel. A company vehicle is provided during company hours.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing 3–4 active custom projects at a time
- Interpreting very detailed plan sets and specification packets
- Leading weekly client walkthroughs
- Managing project budgets in the $1.5M–$3M range per project
- Coordinating bids, purchase orders, and subcontractors
- Daily reporting, including written logs and jobsite photos
- Working closely with project managers and internal team members
- Preferred degree specific to this industry
- Proficient in BuildTrend or related software
- Experience in residential construction, preferably in the luxury or custom home market
- Experience in a client-driven role where understanding a high sense of urgency is everything
- Worked in a role where on-going meticulous attention to detail was paramount
