Sous Chef Qualifications
3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume, upscale kitchen
Strong background in Asian cuisine with exceptional culinary technique and presentation skills
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing food and labor costs, inventory, purchasing, and recipe costing
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations; ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods
Sous Chef Responsibilities
Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency
Lead, mentor, and develop culinary team members to ensure efficient production and high performance
Manage inventory, ordering, scheduling, food costs, and labor expenses to meet operational goals
Assist with menu development, recipe creation, and standardized culinary execution
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment that meets all regulatory standards
Ensure every dish is prepared with precision, consistency, and the presentation expected in an upscale dining experience
