General Summary:
The Training Specialist will design, coordinate, and deliver training for employees of their assigned work group.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organizes and presents orientation, onboarding and skills training for employees.
- Designs and facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods, including classroom curriculum , virtual instruction, online courses and job aids.
- Research and work with subject matter experts to create and update accurate materials.
- Maintains records of training and required processes for audits and contract compliance. ?
- Practice effective project management skills in leading multiple training and development program initiatives.
- Systematically monitors and updates training materials, policy and procedure.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments and feedback.
- Utilize and apply known adult learning principles, training methods and techniques.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and retains required certifications.
- Works with leadership to assess needs for learning strategy and curriculum.
- Coordinates outside agencies to conduct training, as necessary.
- Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

- Certified instructor or willingness to be a certified instructor in first aid, CPR & CBRF courses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with authoring software. Articulate 360, a plus.
Travel Required: Up to 10% travel to local Goodwill sites.
Required education and/or work experience:
- College degree with minimum of 2 years’ related work experience designing and facilitating training.
- Knowledge of non-profits, working directly with people with disabilities or resale, a plus.
