Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, skilled Handyman / Facilities Maintenance to support the ongoing maintenance and repair needs of a commercial office building in Portland, Oregon, as well as the private residence of the Company owner, as needed. This role requires a jack-of-all-trades professional who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to maintenance needs across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities - Commercial Building
- Plumbing, basic electrical, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, doors, locks, and hardware
- Conduct routine building inspections
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs
- Assist with office setups and furniture assembly
- Maintain building safety and functionality
Key Responsibilities - Owner's Residence
- General home maintenance and repair
- Seasonal maintenance projects
- Urgent repair response as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience as a handyman or maintenance technician
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical basics, carpentry, painting, and drywall
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade certifications or vocational training

Previous experience performing maintenance and repairs in commercial buildings, retail centers, office spaces, or multi-tenant properties

Basic proficiency with smartphones and computers, including the ability to receive and respond to work orders, use maintenance or ticketing software, send emails/texts, and take/upload photos for documentation

Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections

Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, manuals, and work orders

Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Salary : $26 - $32
