We are looking for a friendly, engaging, and detail-minded Orthodontic Sterilization Technician / Records Technician who loves connecting with people, staying on top of tasks, and helping patients feel confident about their treatment journey. The right person for this job is social, outgoing, detail-oriented, and great at staying organized. The buzz of activity in our office as people attend their appointments keeps us busy and makes the day fly by.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Outgoing, positive, and social person with a genuine love for helping others
- Someone who can accurately and efficiently manage the sterilization and cleanliness of orthodontic instruments and equipment
- Someone who can prepare treatment bays and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Someone who can assist with taking and processing orthodontic records, including digital scans, photographs, and x-rays
- Someone who can maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Someone who understands the importance of following infection control protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
- Someone who shares the passion, vision, and core values of our practice
- Hard-working self-starter that doesn't need to be micro-managed (Yup, that's a record-setting number of hyphenated words in a sentence)
- Receptive to constantly learning new skills and adapting
- No-drama llama! No, for real.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Additional education or certification in dental assisting or sterilization preferred
- Dental or orthodontic experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to train the right candidate. This position has the opportunity to move into a chairside assistant.
Compensation: Hourly wage (negotiable and based on experience), Benefits Bonuses
Location: Primarily at our South Medford location. We are excited to be opening a second GoodLife Orthodontics location in Eagle Point! Travel to our Eagle Point location will be required as part of this position.
Hours: Monday - Wednesday 8-4:30, Thursday 8-3:15
