Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and other key components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace faulty parts including powertrain components, electrical systems, diesel engines, and suspension systems with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and repair procedures accurately.
- Execute wheel alignments and calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs safely and effectively.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
Experience
- 6 months of service technician experience/training/education with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. Entry level technicians are welcome to apply, as long as you're coachable and teachable.
- Hands-on experience working with Subaru vehicles or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engine repair is essential.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics is required for precise troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build trust with clients.
- Prior experience in auto estimating or working within a dealership environment is a plus.
