POSITION OVERVIEW:
Accountable for developing and overseeing all production related architecture functions, processes, customer experience, team member experience, and trade partner experience. Works in close collaboration with all departments to ensure successful architectural designs are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Requires computer proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, and specific software systems specified by Goodall Homes.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide direction, project management and ownership of all drafting activities throughout Goodall Homes plan library.
• Manage and coordinate the lot specific starts process for architecture.
• Responsible for quality control of plans for Goodall Homes along with the Southeast Regional internal and external resources.
• The implementation and adherence of Architectural policies and procedures.
PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS:
• Preferred 2-year Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or Bachelor of Architecture.
• Related Functional Experience: Minimum 3 years operations experience in Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, or Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Software Skills: Microsoft Office. Bluebeam is a plus.
• Desired Production Builder tenure: 5 years
• Comprehensive knowledge of technical and procedural activities related to production home building construction including the understanding of new plan development and change management.
• Knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes, and CAD concepts.
• Effective communication and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or mission deadlines.
• Proven organization skills in a high paced work environment.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information as well as trouble-shoot associated problems.
• Ability to adapt in a changing workplace.
