Sales Purpose: To build strong and lasting relationships with SDMyers and electric power system owners, and position SDMyers as the preferred solution provider. To turn interest in SDMyers solutions into a commitment:

Position Purpose: The purpose of this role is to coordinate and fulfill all Sales activities involving new business sales orders, and commitments with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist ERAM’s with the creation of new accounts and on-boarding of new customers.
- Determine and prioritize on-boarding activities based on customer size and potential.
- Work with customers, ERAM’s, and other interdepartmental contacts to finalize agreements, quotes, bids, proposals, and legal contracts.
- Facilitate the scheduling of oil testing by following-up on mail-in orders and retests during the first year.
- Assist with customer retention activity during the first year of opening a new account.
- Provide backup support and assistance to handling Customer Service emails, Live Chats, call-ins etc.
- Set up initial customer meetings during the first year to introduce all services and various team members to the account.
- Work with ERAM’s on strategic account plan for transitioning to DAC’s.
- Determine how PO’s are obtained by the customer and document necessary customer contacts and procedures for future orders.
- Transition new account over to the DAC team for renewal work.
- Update information in the CRM and Navision after customer interaction.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and be able to navigate through general Windows applications.
- Database experience preferred.
- Use of Salesforce a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess excellent communication skills – e-mail/letter composition, comfortable speaking with customers by phone.
- General knowledge of SDM product and services.
- Personable, approachable, and collaborative; able to work well within a team and across functions.
- Ability to listen, acknowledge, and explore through open ended questions in order to better understand customer needs.
- Attention to detail, creative thinking, and professionalism.
- Must have a strong sense of team commitment, integrity, initiative which includes meeting deadlines, punctuality, and excellent follow through.
- Ability to coordinate multiple work tasks, work independently, and prioritize.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Sales Force CRM
Work Conditions
- The work for this position is conducted indoors, in a conventional office environment, in an office or cubicle workstation, with low noise.
Physical Demands
While working, the ability to:
- perform work at workstation for extended periods of time, typically at least 8 hours a day, sometimes more or less if business needs require.
- occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs.
