Good Days is looking for an experienced Maître d’ / Events Assistant to join our small, chef-driven team in Williamsburg. We are a family-owned neighborhood restaurant focused on thoughtful hospitality, seasonally driven food, and an elevated but approachable food and beverage program.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, strong organizational instincts, and the ability to create a warm, polished first impression for every guest who walks through the door. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of pacing, guest recognition, communication, and the many small details that shape a dining room.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in a host, maître d’, reservations, or guest relations role in NYC
- Experience with Resy or a similar reservation platform required
- Strong understanding of dining room flow, table pacing, turn times, and guest communication
- Comfortable providing elevated/fine dining style hospitality in a relaxed, high-energy environment
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable assisting with private event inquiries, follow-ups, guest notes, menus, floor plans, and basic event coordination
- Must be hands-on and team-oriented — this is a small restaurant where everyone helps wherever needed
- Comfortable supporting the door, phones, coat check, guest recovery, reservations, confirmations, and light administrative tasks
- Thursday–Sunday availability is required, with a weekday or two sprinkled throughout.
What We’re Looking For
- Warm, intuitive hospitality
- A calm, confident presence at the door
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Strong sense of urgency without sacrificing guest experience
- Ability to read the room and communicate clearly with the service team
- Interest in chef-driven restaurants, events, and collaborative service
- Someone who thrives in a small, independently owned environment
This is a great fit for someone who loves hospitality, understands the rhythm of a dining room, and wants to be part of a tight-knit team building something special.
Please send your resume and a short note about yourself, your experience, and any relevant events or reservations background.
