The Membership Director will lead all marketing and membership sales and engagement efforts, for Broomsedge Golf Club. This individual will serve as the primary ambassador for the club to prospective members, cultivating relationships that align with the club's character and standards. The role requires a personable, proactive professional with a strong understanding of the game and the culture that surrounds it.
About Broomsedge Golf Club
Broomsedge Golf Club is an independent, private golf club located in the Sandhills of South Carolina. The club was founded on a simple ideal - to preserve and celebrate the pure experience of the game. With an emphasis on quality, authenticity, and community, Broomsedge offers a distinctive setting for those who value golf in its truest form. Broomsedge opened to members on October 22nd, 2024. Designed by Mike Koprowski and Kyle Franz, the golf course has received rave reviews from early members and golf media outlets.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive membership recruitment strategy aligned with the club's vision and values.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all membership inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication.
• Conduct on-site tours and host prospective members, providing an authentic and informed representation of the Broomsedge experience.
• Manage the Broomsedge social media and marketing efforts with the goal of raising top- of-funnel awareness, interest, and engagement.
• Maintain a structured membership pipeline, tracking prospects and conversions with accuracy and discretion.
• Collaborate with club leadership to refine membership offerings, communications, and prospective member events.
• Support ongoing member engagement and retention initiatives through relationship- building and attentive service.
• Represent the club both on property and within the broader golf community in a manner consistent with Broomsedge's standards.
Qualifications & Attributes
• Demonstrated experience in membership sales, hospitality, or golf operations.
• Experience in social media marketing - leveraging aspirational storytelling and imagery
across curated digital platforms
• Deep understanding of golf culture, traditions, and etiquette.
• Playing experience and familiarity with destination golf strongly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to connect genuinely with individuals of varied backgrounds.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously within a small, dedicated team.
• Professional presence and demeanor consistent with a high-caliber private golf environment.
Schedule & Expectations
This is a full-time, on-site position. Daily presence at the club is required, including select weekends, events, and peak visitation periods. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 annual base salary, including benefits. Additional commission based on membership sales to be negotiated.
