Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of all activities in the slot route department. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or employee challenges.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
- Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
- Review monthly profit and loss statements and weekly drop report and make the necessary adjustments in order to maintain budgetary goals
- Ensure staff is well trained on all equipment
- Monitor all necessary forms of paperwork
- Oversee the building, warehouse and satellite storage areas for cleanliness, organization and accurate tracking of inventory
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Review the route regularly for potential improvements in efficiency and also look for potential weaknesses in policies, procedures or areas of vulnerability to theft
- Assist with the development and improvement of policies and procedures
- Participate in daily review of our accounts for performance of specific games and programs in the field
- Present findings and route issues in the daily meeting with recommendations for improvement
- Oversee the investigations of all overages and shortages and takes the appropriate disciplinary action
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in slot operations
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Proven experience with appropriate labor-conscious scheduling
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, guests, location owners/management
- Knowledge of restricted gaming regulations
- Proven experience being reliable, dependable, and honest
- Familiar with and knowledgeable of the area road system
- Comfortable driving during various driving conditions and traffic patterns, including rush hour
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
- Able to successfully work independently
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
