Golden Rain Foundation is seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Employee to join our team. This role is vital to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of apartments, community facilities, and Foundation offices at Leisure World Seal Beach, a vibrant active senior living community. Key Responsibilities
- Refrigerator Delivery and Installation:
- Deliver and install refrigerators in apartments.
- Remove defective refrigerators and return them to the maintenance yard.
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform concrete repairs and pour new concrete as needed.
- Repair damaged areas of the perimeter wall and barbed wire.
- Paint main valve covers and handle minor painting tasks.
- Replace or repair window and sliding door screens.
- Repair or replace locks and create new keys.
- Conduct minor repairs on washers, dryers, and other appliances
Administrative and Team Support:
- Record time, materials, and related information on service repair orders.
- Assist co-workers with various maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge
- General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and concrete work.
- Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety practices.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair work.
- Proficiency in operating a 2-way radio.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach frequently.
- Capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 250 pounds with mechanical assistance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unaided.
- Close vision and depth perception required.
Interpersonal Skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, shareholders, and members.
- Ability to provide superior customer service and address shareholders concerns professionally.
