Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company’s guest service culture
- Advise guests on wine choices based on individual preferences to enhance their experience and drive profitability
- Create and maintain accurate wine lists, and ensure they reflect current inventory and seasonal changes
- Record and manage wine inventory, and communicate any out-of-stock items to management and staff
- Create and distribute training materials and conduct regular wine tastings to educate team members
- Maintain an active floor presence, assisting guests and staff with wine service
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 2 years of fine dining experience with a focus on wine service
- Advanced knowledge of wine varietals, regions, production methods, and food pairing
- Excellent verbal, written, and group presentation communication skills
- Knowledge of cuisine and wine pairing principles
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Sommelier certification preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
