Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Stone Setter to join our production team in New York City. This is an on-site role based in the Diamond District.
You will work on fine and high jewelry pieces across both custom and production environments. Your work is critical to ensuring that each piece meets the highest standards of precision, consistency, and structural integrity.
You will operate within a structured production system—working closely with bench jewelers, CAD designers, and production leads to ensure each piece moves cleanly from casting to final finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform high-precision stone setting across a range of techniques (micropavé, prong, bezel, channel, etc.)
- Work on both one-of-a-kind pieces and serialized production runs
- Ensure stones are set securely, cleanly, and consistently across all pieces
- Collaborate with bench jewelers and production team to maintain quality and flow
- Identify and flag structural or setting issues early in the process
- Maintain strict standards for symmetry, alignment, and finish
- Contribute to a production environment where work is consistent, repeatable, and controlled
Who We’re Looking For
- 5 years of professional stone setting experience
- Strong experience working with precious metals (gold, platinum, silver)
- Proven expertise across multiple setting techniques
- Experience working in high-end or production jewelry environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work within structured workflows and maintain production standards
- Strong sense of discipline, craftsmanship, and accountability
Compensation
- $44–$80/hour, depending on experience and skill level
