Warehouse Specialist (Sorter)

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Specialist (Sorter) to join our team in Carteret. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations within our warehouse, optimizing delivery processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization. The Warehouse Specialist will manage key logistics processes, oversee temporary workers, and contribute to building strong partnerships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Sorting & Dispatch:

• Sort packages accurately by ZIP code for delivery by DSPs.
• Coordinate truck dispatch to ensure timely and efficient delivery operations.
• Design and implement efficient delivery routes to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.

Supervision & Training:

• Supervise temporary workers during the sorting process to maintain productivity and quality.
• Train temporary workers on sorting procedures and best practices.

DSP Communication & Partnership:

• Communicate effectively with DSPs to address and resolve delivery issues.
• Identify and establish partnerships with potential new DSPs.

Inventory & Maintenance:

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs as needed.

Safety & Organization:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Issue Resolution & Customer Satisfaction:

• Track and manage exception cases, including damaged, lost, or delayed parcels.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual: Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate temporary workers effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
