About your new role:

As an Extrusion Technician you will operate extrusion equipment at optimum levels of quality, efficiencies and loses using documented processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate extrusion equipment, learning established procedures, levels of efficiency and standards.
• Continue to train in extrusion operation and set up.
• Proficiently operate all auxiliary equipment.
• Detailed understanding of Production screens.
• Perform basic startups and shutdowns of equipment.
• Perform basic gauge and color changes within established targets.
• Maintain complete and accurate records including traceability information and daily shift reports.
• Assist with roll changes, die and auxiliary equipment changes to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Assist on other lines as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, orderly work area and complete associated accountability forms.
• Adhere to quality standards and guidelines and notify supervisors/managers immediately of nonconformance.
• Cross-train in extrusion quality testing – Operate Colorimeter.
• Perform quality tests and make less complicated adjustments to process as necessary.
• Maintain equipment through autonomous maintenance.
• Report, and if possible, resolve any unsafe conditions or unsafe actions.
• Understand and be familiar with all ISO 9001 procedures that apply to this position.
• Perform core-cutting duties as needed.
• Train or assist in employee training as required.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years prior experience in manufacturing machine operation (consideration taken for mechanics or technical experience).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Certified or able to be certified in scissor lift operation and forklift driving.
• Plastics manufacturing preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily standing work with minimal sitting.
• Frequent bending and pushing/pulling of equipment.
• Comfortable working up to 40 feet above floor level
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and assist with heavier weights occasionally.

Shifts Available:
GOEX is a 24/7 facility with a 2x2x3 12 hour rotating schedule

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Day Shift: 5:50am - 6:00pm ($3/hour premium for weekends)
• Night Shift: 5:50pm - 6:00am ($3/hour premium for night shift and $3/hour premium for weekends)

Starting Pay:

$25.92/hour (if all requirements are met)
