Responsibilities: Support students with academic tasks, behavior management, and social engagement within the classroom Provide individualized or small-group assistance to meet students needs Aid students during daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation activities Implement behavior support plans and help follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Minimum age of 18 years Current tuberculosis (TB) test, meeting school district requirements Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting
Preferred Experience: Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges Training or certification such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not required Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to teamwork
