Safety Coordinator – TMG

Onsite – Las Vegas, NV

About Us:

Transportation Management Group (TMG) is a management services organization specializing in the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry. Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, TMG partners with NEMT providers to deliver operational, administrative, and strategic support that drives efficiency, scalability, and growth.

With deep experience in NEMT operations, our team supports areas such as dispatch, workforce management, compliance, and performance optimization. We focus on building streamlined processes and scalable infrastructure to help our partners operate effectively across multiple markets.

Guided by our core values—Compassion, Attitude, Responsibility, and Excellence ("We CARE")—we are committed to fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About the Role:

TMG is hiring a driven Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, field-focused role where you’ll work closely with frontline teams to conduct safety observations, support incident investigations, and identify risks before they escalate.

If you have 2 or more years of safety or compliance experience and want to develop your skills in a fast-paced, multi-state healthcare environment, this is a great opportunity to make a direct impact while developing your career.

At TMG, we value accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and we invest in people who want to grow and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine field, facility, and vehicle safety assessments, including daily observations, ride-alongs, and inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions.

  • Document safety observations, hazards, violations, and corrective actions using standardized reporting tools and ensure timely follow-up and closure.

  • Support incident and accident investigations by assisting with evidence collection, documentation, interviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.

  • Participate in incident response efforts as needed, including on-site support, coordination with operations, and post-incident follow-up.

  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and basic safety training sessions to frontline employees; support onboarding and refresher training as assigned.

  • Monitor and verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), vehicle safety equipment, emergency kits, and other required safety resources.

  • Assist in maintaining safety readiness by checking equipment functionality, emergency supplies, signage, and compliance with safety standards.

  • Track and maintain safety metrics, inspection results, audit findings, and incident trends; assist with data entry, reporting, and analysis.

  • Support regulatory compliance efforts by assisting with internal audits, inspections, and preparation for external reviews as directed.

  • Partner closely with Fleet, Operations, Training, and Risk Management teams to reinforce safety standards, equipment reliability, and procedural adherence.

  • Promote a positive safety culture by serving as a visible, approachable resource for employees and encouraging reporting of hazards and near misses.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support safety, compliance, and risk prevention initiatives.

Minimum Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The Company will engage in the interactive process as required by applicable law.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work assigned schedules, including schedule adjustments and field response as business needs require, consistent with applicable law.

  • Communicate effectively in English, including speaking, hearing, and exchanging information in person, by phone, and through electronic systems with employees, leadership, and external partners.

  • Maintain focus, attention to detail, and situational awareness while conducting safety observations, inspections, and documentation in dynamic field and operational environments.

  • Analyze information, identify hazards or risks, and exercise sound, job-related judgment in time-sensitive and potentially high-risk situations.

  • Use computers and standard business software (e.g., reporting systems, spreadsheets, and mobile tools) to document, review, and manage safety data accurately.

  • Move between office, vehicle, and field environments, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and entering/exiting vehicles throughout the workday.

  • Lift, carry, or move equipment, supplies, or materials (e.g., safety kits, inspection tools) up to approximately 25–50 pounds, with or without assistance.

  • Safely operate or travel in company vehicles and maintain awareness of surroundings, road conditions, and environmental factors.

  • Work in varying environments, including exposure to weather conditions, traffic, noise, and medical or operational settings, using appropriate safety precautions.

  • Respond to incidents or urgent situations as needed, which may require flexibility, mobility, and adaptability in changing conditions.

  • Maintain discretion and handle sensitive, confidential, and safety-related information in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

  • Work in an environment involving frequent interruptions, evolving priorities, and time-sensitive demands.

Qualifications:
