Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Provide guidance and training to direct reports
- Review assigned general ledger accounts and consistently question any unusual / non-routine transactions and account balance variances
- Prepare and approve journal entries
- Prepare reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts and review reconciliations performed by others when assigned
- Prepare / review reporting, which includes ad-hoc, one-time requests
- Participate in special projects as necessary
- Promote a cooperative and productive work environment
- Provide analytical support as requested to Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial
- Planning & Analysis, and other business groups
- Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures
- Assist with documentation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Strong background with automated accounting systems.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Access Database.
- Working knowledge of the Accounting Standards Codification.
- Working knowledge understanding of financial statements.\
- Ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members.
- Perform analysis on monthly financial statements and also on complex transactions.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Detailed oriented.
- Good Leadership skills.
- Possess the skills necessary to operate various office equipment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of account reconciliations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years in public or general accounting and/or financial analysis Req
- 0-2 years supervisory experience Req
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related experience required
