The Human Resources Specialist will work closely with HR management to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. Schedule: Fulltime, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities for Human Resources Specialist:
- Provide onboarding training for new hires (New Hire Orientation)
- Participates in the recruitment, screening, and orientation for all candidates
- Develop onboarding kits to support new employee integration.
- Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
- Assists with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
- Manages HR Projects & various miscellaneous administrative activities.
- Assists with performance development tasks.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Human Resources Specialist:
- 3 years' experience in Human Resources setting
- PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
Working Conditions:
This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for the Human Resources Specialist is $59,000-$62,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
