Summary
The Autobody Printer restores vehicles to factory standards through complete automotive body repair and painting processes using waterborne paint. Their responsibilities include structural and non-structural collision repair; panel straightening and replacement; body filler shaping; surface preparation; masking; priming; color-matching; and high-quality spray application. They will also perform wet sanding, buffing, and final finish correction to achieve an OEM-level surface, gloss, and texture. They will also ensure disciplined quality control, adherence to safe shop practices, proper use of tools and materials, and on-time delivery of completed vehicles.

Responsibilities
- Experience spraying waterborne paint
- Light welding (Stinger gun stud welding)
- Glass repairs (RR and RI)
- Metal prep/work/ treatment (epoxy/primer/surfacers)
- Using all body refinish surfacers
- Repair and refinish vehicle
- Shrinking/sculpture metal panels
- Blocking, wet sanding, hammering, dolling procedures
- Adjusting doors, panels and hoods
- Hazmat training
- Safety knowledge of chemicals and equipment practices
- Mechanic safety knowledge such as how to disconnect vehicles properly prior to performing bodywork
- Raw plastic prepping
- Ecoat prep
- Identify vehicle damage and fill out damage reports
- Open/Close Repair Orders
- Communicate with Customer Service Team on any parts needed for purchase
- Review and maintain monthly inspection logs (safety)
- Communicate with Direct Supervisor and provide daily status on production
- Coordinating Workflow based on the direction of Supervisor (FIFO order)
- Directing Body Shop Team Members/Plan of the Day
- Maintain 10-day aged units at a minimum while focusing on dwell
- Maintain material inventory and coordinate on ordering supplies
- Maintain PPG Certification
- Resurface and refinish all (RR/ RI) of all vehicle panels and interiors and color matching for door jambs
- Mixing bench, (how to weigh and use formulas)
- Body Work- Panels, Glass, Jambs
- Inspect and notate vehicle damage
- Apply mask tape over vehicle parts/windows
- Buff, Color Sand, Primer, Body filling, Spray inner jambs
- Sealers and seam sealer for new parts Remove/Install windshields
- Undercoating and applying rock guard protector
- Coordinate maintenance on spray booth
- Manage and review paint supply expiration dates
- Train new Body Shop Team Members
- Coordinate with safety on air compressor maintenance
- Other duties as assigned

- 2 Years of Direct Experience in Auto Body Repair and Painting Required
