SAP SD / OTC Functional Analyst

Our client is seeking a hands-on SAP SD / OTC Functional Analyst to join our lean, collaborative SAP team. This role is open due to the upcoming retirement of their long-tenured SAP SD Consultant.
About the Role
- Support our current ECC environment while preparing for the upcoming S/4HANA go-live at the end of next year.
- Serve as the sole SD resource, managing end-to-end responsibilities from requirements gathering, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements to business user coordination and training.
- Work in a small, hands-on SAP team.
- Day-to-day workload: ~70% support / 30% project work on ECC initially; post-S/4 transition flips to ~70% project / 30% support.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve order creation issues, EDI errors, pricing conditions, and tariff enhancements.
- Collaborate with master data, business teams, and other functional areas to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead small enhancements, testing, and enablement post-S/4 transition.
- Typical tasks range from gathering requirements to testing, fixing issues, and training end users.
Ideal Candidate
- 7β10 years of SAP SD/OTC experience; exposure to both ECC and S/4HANA preferred.
- Strong understanding of Sales & Distribution processes and integration with MM, EDI, pricing, and order management.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and down-to-earth; able to fit in with a long-tenured, family-owned culture focused on accountability and realistic goals.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable being the sole SD resource.
