Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking routine healthcare services or insight into important health decisions. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and delivering a professional and compassionate patient experience. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and patient trust in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established practices and procedures
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence
- Explain procedures clearly to patients while creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper handling of patient information
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
- Perform duties with a strong focus on process excellence and patient safety
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required)
- Experience performing pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy
- Keyboarding and data entry experience
Nice-to-Have Experience
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
Required Skills
- Phlebotomy specimen collection

Preferred Skills
- Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy techniques

Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- California Phlebotomy License required
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Rotational Saturdays as required
