Maintenance Mechanic A – 3rd Shift

Shift: 3rd Shift | Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic A to join our 3rd Shift Maintenance Team at a growing manufacturing facility in Solon, OH. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and set up equipment for filling, packaging, mixing, and production areas
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform complex equipment repairs
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery as needed
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
• Train and assist junior mechanics while inspecting completed work
• Perform electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry repairs as required
• Operate machine tools and fabricate fixtures or replacement parts when necessary
• Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, and electrical schematics
• Troubleshoot both high-voltage systems and low-voltage controls using a multimeter
• Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and daily reports
• Identify abnormal equipment conditions and communicate issues to appropriate personnel
• Support plant operations with additional maintenance duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or technical trade experience required
• Strong industrial electrical background highly preferred
• Experience with PLC controls, Air Logic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret machine assembly drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience troubleshooting I/O controls (24VDC, 120VAC) using a multimeter
• Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment such as tow motors or low lifts is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Position requires standing and walking for the majority of the shift
• Frequent bending, climbing, twisting, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to industrial environments including heat, cold, dust, chemicals, noise, and heights
• Use of proper PPE and adherence to all safety procedures required
• Position involves handling materials and chemicals used in manufacturing processes
• Required safety training, physicals, and spirometry testing will be provided
