JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Assistant position is responsible for accounts receivable, collecting and receipting the money, quarterly licensing review and various other accounting tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Process and allocate credit card expenses accurately across departments and projects
- Review and record employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Manage shipping invoices, verifying accuracy and coding to appropriate accounts
- Prepare and track band comps billing in coordination with relevant departments
- Provide general assistance to the Accounting team as needed, supporting special projects and month-end close activities
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL
- HS Diploma/ GED
- 1–2 years of accounting or administrative experience preferred
- Strong Excel and data entry skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with strong communication skills
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Business Central, NetSuite) a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day.
- Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
