Job Description
- Assist driver in delivering a great customer experience while providing our customers with timely, accurate, friendly and efficient transport services with the delivery of food products to their destination
- Driver Helpers are responsible for all activities except the actual driving: loading and unloading items by hand or hand truck, contacting customers, collecting payments, keeping in touch with the main office, doing delivery paperwork
Essential Role Functions
- Ability to meet deadlines on a timely basis
- Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Ability to operate Forklift, electric/manual pallet jack and hand truck.
- Ability to operate the Liftgate
- Lift, carry, pull, push up to 25 - 50 lbs.
- Stand/walk – constantly
- Reach above shoulder level – occasionally
- Twist/Turn head – occasionally
- Bend over/stoop – occasionally
- Climb steps/ladder – occasionally
- Kneel/squat – occasionally
- Ensure complete order is loaded for delivery and safely secured in vehicle
- Obey all traffic regulations and report any traffic incidents
- Make timely and efficient deliveries
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Work Experience/Requirements for This Role
- Years: 1 YEAR
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
Schedule
- Days: MONDAY-FRIDAY
- Hours: VARIES START TIME 6:30AM (Flexibility with Hours)
- Work Location: KEARNY, NJ
