We are looking for a Deburr specialist. Deburr includes filing, hand scraping, pen grinding, polishing, and buffing parts. This position requires the ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will be organized, diligent, and able to work independently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Filing, hand scraping, abrasive burr, mechanical polish, and pen grinding
- Inspect parts for conformity to specifications
- Polish and buff parts as needed
- Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Meet job standard times and communicate when standard is not being met
- Follow all safety guidelines established by GMW, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
- Must have the mechanical ability to learn processes and repeat them with proficiency
- Must have the aptitude to learn and utilize production work orders, documents, drawings, and specifications, written or oral instructions to perform tasks necessary meet production requirements
- Ability to do repetitive work
- Ensure part count and data entry is accurate and correct consistently for both the Job Traveler and MES computer system
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the deburr trade
- Ability to retain information for measuring parts over time with instruction from lead or supervisor
- Basic computer and math skills
- Use basic hand-held measuring tools
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow job travelers

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to move, reach, lift, handle, feel, ascend/descend, observe, inspect, detect, handle or position self to observe. Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs frequently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a machine shop environment. Must be able to remain standing/walking position for majority of the time. This position is required to work around high-speed machinery and equipment and the use of any required safety equipment. There is exposure to machine oil, metal filings, unpleasant odors and noise. Job functions on and around mechanized equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy and safety awareness.

SCHEDULES
- NIGHTS - (M-Th) 10-hour shifts 3:45pm to 2:15am
- WEEKENDS - (F-Sun) 12-hour shifts 5:00am to 5:30pm
- DAYS - (M-TH) 10-hour shifts 5:30am to 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
