Administrative Specialist / Sr. Compensation Analyst
Location: Newport Beach, CA (Onsite – Local Orange County candidates only)
Type: 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hoag is seeking a Sr. Compensation Analyst to support compensation-related initiatives and partner with assigned business units on matters related to compensation policies, job evaluations, equity issues, wage and hour questions, and new hire compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and interpret compensation policies
- Provide analytical compensation support through compensation evaluation systems, analytics, design, and reporting
- Analyze and evaluate market surveys to ensure competitiveness of Hoag positions
- Manage and maintain job descriptions for assigned client groups
- Ensure job descriptions meet regulatory requirements
- Participate in major compensation projects, including HR automation and performance management initiatives
- Stay current with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
- Lead major compensation projects, including organization-wide wage adjustments and focal review processes
- Support leadership communications related to compensation initiatives
- Research, propose, and design salary structures, base pay, and incentive programs
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience
- Minimum 2 years of Compensation experience
- Strong knowledge of state and federal Wage & Hour laws
- Strong understanding of performance management theory and practice
- Project management experience with ability to lead large projects
- Ability to consult, influence, and negotiate with leadership regarding compensation policies and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
