We are seeking a highly driven and analytical Business Development Manager based in the Bentonville, AR area to support our Walmart & Club business. This role serves as a critical connector between Sales, Supply Chain, Transportation, Customer Service, and the customer-ensuring forecast integrity, operational execution, and customer-facing sales support.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, combining strong analytical capabilities with operational problem-solving, and can translate complex business data into actionable insights that drive service performance, sales growth, and excellence.
This role is highly cross-functional and requires exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to proactively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other aspects may be assigned.
Forecasting & Operational Execution
Manage and support customer forecast accuracy across Walmart & Club accounts to ensure alignment between customer demand, internal planning, and production capabilities
Monitor inventory levels, in-stock performance, order trends, and shipment execution to proactively identify risks and recommend corrective actions
Partner cross-functionally with Transportation, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to resolve service disruptions and maintain strong OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance
Support order flow optimization through management of customer purchase order updates, forecast adjustments, and replenishment recommendations
Analyze customer ordering patterns and forecast variability to improve service stability and inventory efficiency
Serve as a key liaison between customer teams and internal operational functions to ensure timely communication and execution alignment
Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting, service execution, and operational processes
Sales & Business Support
Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly business recaps highlighting sales performance, inventory trends, service metrics, and customer insights
Support customer meeting preparation, assisting with business reviews, line reviews, and strategic presentations
Conduct competitive retail audits, assortment reviews, and promotional performance tracking
Track and analyze promotional execution, seasonal events, TPRs, modular activity, and sales lift versus plan
Support new item launches, item transitions, modular resets, and item maintenance across customer systems
Manage item setup documentation, customer forms, modular submissions, and ongoing item maintenance processes
Monitor category trends, competitive activity, and retail pricing to identify opportunities and risks within the marketplace
Analytics & Reporting
Leverage customer systems and syndicated data to develop actionable reporting and business insights
Maintain and improve recurring reporting tools, KPI scorecards, forecasting trackers, and sales support dashboards
Analyze sales, inventory, service, and forecast performance data to identify trends and support business decision-making
Support ad hoc analysis requests for customer teams and internal leadership

Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in CPG sales analytics, customer operations, supply chain support, or retail account management preferred
Experience supporting Walmart, Sam’s or other major retail accounts strongly preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively across Sales, Operations, Transportation, Finance, and Customer Service teams
Experience with Walmart Retail Link, Scintilla, Supplier One, Madrid, Nielsen, or similar retail systems preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, syndicated data platforms, or forecasting tools is a plus
Self-starter with strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through
