Forklift Operator Global Harvest Foods, LLC - Akron, CO $20.00 - $22.50 an hour Global Harvest Foods is a leading National Wild Bird, Caged Bird and small Critter/Pet food manufacturer with a 40-year history of delighting customers with our products We are a mature but growing company headquartered in Seattle, WA and currently have an outstanding opportunity for an individual to join our team in Akron, CO as a Forklift Operator. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound and outbound loads are processed according to company and customer policies. Shift: First and Second Shift available The primary tasks will include but are not limited to: Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming shipments. Picks and stages orders and loads for shipment. Performs physical inventory counts of finished products and ingredients. Prepares all outgoing shipment paperwork including Bills of Lading. Inspects lifts and forklifts on a daily basis. Performs equipment maintenance as directed. Qualifications: At least one year working with a sit-down forklift. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. Must have the ability to understand, read and write basic English. A minimum 6 – 12 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight, volume, and distance. Able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be 18 years of age to operate forklifts.
