Global Environmental and Industrial Response is a fast-paced company located in Mulberry, now hiring for the position of Accounts Payable Specialist. Applicants must have work experience in Accounts Payable.
Position Overview
Global Environmental and Industrial Response is seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with a proven track record in financial operations. This is a high-volume role that requires significant prior experience in managing complex vendor accounts and high-transaction cycles. You will ensure that all vendor financial obligations are met accurately and on time, while maintaining strict adherence to corporate procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Enter received vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained in accordance with Department and Corporate procedures.
- Ensure timely payment of outstanding vendor invoices.
- Perform research and reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Initiate contact with internal and external parties, as needed, for supporting documents or missing information.
- Meet accounting deadlines for month-end process and closing cycles.
- Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience
- Must be used to high transaction and fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks recommended.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
- Highly detail-oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
