Position Overview:
Our team is currently looking for a Chassis Design Engineer for our client Honda Racing Corp.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Responsibilities include providing design engineering expertise for race vehicle development, including the creation and analysis of design concepts, CAD models, and engineering drawings, as well as the interpretation of test results.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
- BSME/MSME with 1-3 years of experience within the automotive and/or motorsports industry
- Demonstrated understanding of vehicle dynamics and chassis component design fundamentals
- 1-3 years of direct automotive chassis component design and analysis experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with detailed 3D model and 2D drawing creation
- Demonstrated proficiency with tolerance analysis and GD&T
- Excellent communication skills with a strong “team player” mindset
- Direct mass-production automotive development experience a plus
- Direct Catia V5/V6 & Abaqus FEA experience a plus
- Should be a self-starter & comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Work Conditions:
- On-site in Santa Clarita, Ca
- One year contract w/possible extension
