Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Wire Harness Design

Job Summary:
We are seeking three skilled Electrical Engineers to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) programs through the design and development of electrical wire harness systems. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in harness design, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration within heavy equipment or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical wire harness systems across multiple NPI and CPI programs.
- Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D harness models, including connectors, clips, brackets, coverings, and associated documentation.
- Define electrical and harness specifications, including conductor sizing, insulation, shielding, EMI/EMC requirements, and routing constraints.
- Perform packaging and integration activities to ensure proper harness fit, functionality, and serviceability within vehicle systems.
- Select appropriate electrical and mechanical components in compliance with engineering standards and organizational guidelines.
- Support engineering change management processes, including documentation control, part updates, and product release activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, CAE/testing, suppliers, and other engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical wire harness design and development, preferably in heavy equipment or related industries.
- Hands-on experience in creating 2D/3D harness layouts and routing.
- Strong knowledge of conductor sizing, circuit protection, shielding, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Familiarity with vehicle-level system packaging and harness integration constraints.
- Proficiency in harness design tools such as Creo and Teamcenter.
- Experience working with engineering change management systems and structured documentation workflows.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CAT standards, industry guidelines, and best design practices.
- Understanding of electrical systems, wiring standards, and harness manufacturing processes.
