- Develop and implement Model-Based Development (MBD) solutions using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Design, develop, and validate Battery Management System (BMS) control algorithms.
- Create and maintain Simulink models for battery monitoring, charging, balancing, and protection functions.
- Perform model simulation, verification, and validation to ensure compliance with system requirements.
- Generate production-ready code using Embedded Coder/Simulink.
- Develop and execute unit testing, MIL, SIL, and HIL validation activities.
- Analyze battery performance, state estimation (SOC, SOH, SOP), and thermal management strategies.
- Collaborate with systems, software, electrical, and controls engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control algorithms for performance, reliability, and safety.
- Support integration, debugging, and testing of embedded software on target hardware.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Model-Based Development (MBD).
- Strong hands-on experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
- Experience with Embedded Coder/Auto Code Generation.
- Knowledge of battery algorithms including:
- State of Charge (SOC)
- State of Health (SOH)
- Cell Balancing
- Battery Protection
- Thermal Management
- Experience with embedded control systems and real-time software development.
- Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and automotive tools such as CANalyzer/CANoe.
- Experience with MIL, SIL, and HIL testing methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lithium-ion battery systems.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE.
- Experience in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid vehicles, or energy storage systems.
- Familiarity with Git, SVN, or other version control tools.
- Experience with dSPACE, Vector, ETAS, or NI HIL platforms.
- Knowledge of Embedded C/C is a plus.
