Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in automotive electro-mechanical/mechatronic product development. The candidate will be responsible for conceptual design, detailed engineering, and product development of components such as key fobs, push button controllers, and display/haptic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Work on conceptual design for automotive electro-mechanical / mechatronic products
Design and develop products like push button controllers, key fobs, display units, and touch/haptic systems
Create and finalize 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools
Perform stack-up analysis, tolerance analysis, and GD&T implementation
Develop BOM (Bill of Materials) and assembly structures
Ensure proper packaging of PCB and electronic components within mechanical enclosures
Work on housing/enclosure design for complete product systems
Create A-class surfaces and styling curves as per product requirements
Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings
Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
Support design improvement and engineering change management
Perform vehicle environment-based packaging studies
Prepare product specifications and technical documentation
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical product design and development
Experience in automotive electro-mechanical / mechatronics systems
Proficiency in CREO CAD (preferred)
Understanding of:
PCB integration within mechanical design
Tolerance stack-ups and GD&T
Manufacturing processes and materials
Experience in DFMEA, DFM, and design validation processes
Ability to work on complete product lifecycle (concept to production)
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics or related field)
