What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Harness V&V Tools Technician position at Global Connect Technologies?
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Deployment
- Assemble and prepare test environments for deployment, including:
- Aluminum frame assembly
- Harness installation
- Module installation
- Software installation
- Testing and validation
- Package and ship systems to Ford and non-Ford partners.
- Track distribution using approved processes and tools.
Maintenance & Support
- Troubleshoot and repair tool systems.
- Monitor and maintain the virtual service desk.
- Diagnose, update, and repair non-functional systems.
- Manage shipment of components to fabricators for system builds.
- Maintain inventory and organization of the tools lab.
Education & Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (experience may substitute for formal education).
- Functional understanding of automotive electrical wiring and schematics.
- Strong ability to manage priorities, risks, and issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in electrical harness design or fabrication.
- Previous automotive or IT support experience.
- Experience with JIRA.
