Definition
Under direction, performs technical and analytical work that supports district and Human Resources (HR) operations in one or more areas that may include recruitment, HR information systems (HRIS), leave administration, workers’ compensation, classification and compensation workforce performance , employee/labor relations, compliance and training; serves as a technical resource to management and employees; conducts research, and data analysis to support a variety of HR functions and projects; identify and assist with implementation of automated solutions and HRIS tools to improve business processes and efficiency, participates in the development of policies, procedures, administrative regulations, and collective bargaining agreement language; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervision
Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources.
Does not directly or indirectly supervise other employees but may provide work direction to lower-level classified staff, temporary, and/or student employees.
Work ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year
Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are typical of those performed by employees in this classification.
- Performs, technical and analytical work that supports district and Human Resources (HR) operations in one or more areas that may include recruitment, HR information systems (HRIS), leave administration, workers’ compensation, classification and compensation workforce performance, employee/labor relations, compliance and training
- Serves as a technical resource to management and employees with regard to area/s of assignment; responds to data and informational inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, on relevant programs, policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Conducts research, compiles and analyzes data from employee records and other sources to support a variety of HR functions, including verifying and completing employment documents, forms, salary data, and other information used for collective bargaining, compliance reporting, accreditation, and internal analysis.
- Identify and assists with implementation of automated solutions and HRIS tools to improve business processes and increase work efficiencies.
- Prepares various HR reports and supports the development of collective bargaining agreements. employee relations matters.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of personnel records and documentation.
- Generates standard and ad hoc reports to support audits, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborates and coordinates with various departments as needed.
- Manages a variety of special projects as assigned by Human Resources management.
- May coordinate and support other human resources activities.
- Assists in the development of policies, procedures, administrative regulations, and collective bargaining agreement language; recommends processes and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding compensation, classification, and employee data privacy.
- Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, cultural competency, and a positive work and academic environment.
- Analyzes and interprets data; prepares, reviews, and/or approves documents and reports.
- May direct and/or conduct surveys and special studies; may maintain statistics.
- May participate in campus committees and task forces.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The education, training and experience qualifications are considered likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities to perform the above essential duties.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years of human resources experience, or experience in the area of assignment.

Starting salary: Step 1: $6,644 to Step 3: $7,320 per month, based on training and experience
Salary range: Step 1: $6,644 to step 11: $11,118 per month (including longevity steps)
