Position Summary:
This role manages and administers employee benefit programs. Key duties include ensuring employees are well-informed, properly enrolled, and supported throughout their benefits experience. Additional responsibilities include invoice reconciliation, compliance and reporting, claims resolution, open enrollment and plan audits. The position also manages employee administrative processes, such as change of status and terminations, through the HRIS system.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in benefits administration and human resources experience required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of benefits policies, and the ability to work with employees at all levels providing exceptional service to employees.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and serve as a resource for all benefit matters and questions.
- Strong understanding of FLSA, EEO, ACA, and ERISA laws as well as FMLA, ADA, and other federal and state leave laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability: Adjusts to evolving business needs, system changes, and organizational priorities.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems – UKG experience preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Uses data and logic to identify trends, resolve issues, and recommend solutions.
- Empathy and understanding of employees' needs, combined with a professional approach to handling difficult situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification, and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their salary range.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000 annually
