NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Security Officer II
182 Days per Year
40 Hours per week, Monday thru Friday
Location and Schedule to be determined
WAGES: $32.67 per hour
DUTIES: Security Officers for Glastonbury Public Schools work with school
administrators and staff to maintain a safe environment for all. They
supervise students and enforce school policies.
- Actively supervise large areas of students
- Monitor entrance and screen all visitors
- Patrol and monitor school grounds and hallways
- Assist School Administrators as needed
- Work security posts or any other duties as directed
- Traffic Control
- Retired, POST Certified Law Enforcement, minimum 10 years, retired
- Solid relationship-building skills including the ability to relate easily and
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Able to work flexible hours
