NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Custodian, Full-Time (Union Position)
Gideon Welles School
Twelve-month position
First Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (possible overtime)
HOURLY WAGE: $30.64 per hour and full benefits as provided in
Custodial/Maintenance and General Service Employees’ Union
Agreement
DUTIES: Provide a clean, safe and healthy school environment.
Complete tasks requested by administrators, Head Custodian,
and the Custodial Foreman.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2-years custodial or relevant cleaning work
experience and valid Connecticut driver’s license.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship
with supervisors, co-workers and the general public. Ability to
follow oral and written instructions. Ability to understand and
follow directions, assignment routines and the methods,
techniques and materials used in a cleaning operation.
