Summary
The Cultivation/Grow Manager is responsible for executing the company’s cultivation plan and overseeing the daily operations of plant production in accordance with the company’s production goals. This role manages environmental controls, irrigation systems, and cultivation staff to ensure optimal plant health, yield, and operational efficiency. The Cultivation Manager collaborates closely with cultivation leadership to maintain best practices in large scale cannabis production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute the cultivation plan in alignment with the company’s production schedule, including preparation, crop tending, and post-harvest cleanup activities.
- Plan and schedule cultivation activities necessary to maintain the plant life cycle from propagation through harvest.
- Manage the growing environment to ensure optimal plant health through proper irrigation, temperature control, climate management, and pest and disease prevention in accordance with cultivation leadership guidance.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the work of team members engaged in plant propagation, cultivation, and harvesting activities.
- Supervise irrigation technicians and provide direction to the Labor Manager regarding weekly cultivation labor requirements.
- Monitor labor productivity and efficiency and recommend adjustments to crew structure to support operational goals.
- Assist the cultivation team in establishing and maintaining cultivation data tracking systems, including weekly crop reports, climate reports, maturation tracking, and production metrics.
- Ensure cultivation activities align with company standards, operational procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Complete required Priva training modules within the first six months of employment, including:
- Introduction to Horticulture
- Water Introduction
- Irrigation and Fertilization
- Irrigation Strategy using Priva Connect
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Competencies
To perform this role successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following knowledge and abilities:
- Strong knowledge of large-scale commercial cannabis cultivation including crop rotation, nutrient management, growing media, lighting requirements, and environmental control systems.
- Proficiency in climate control and environmental management systems used in commercial cultivation environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of the cannabis plant life cycle and cultivation requirements.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging cultivation techniques, and strain specific growth strategies.
- Ability to manage teams and coordinate cultivation operations in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in agriculture or equivalent cultivation operations
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required
- Ability to travel between cultivation sites as needed
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Position requires a minimum 40-hour work week
- Must be able to communicate clearly in written and verbal form with team members and leadership

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
