Duties
- Measure bathroom spaces accurately using dimensional measurements and interpret construction plans and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to understand design specifications for shower glass installations.
- Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, fitting, and installing shower enclosures, doors, and related fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Install glass panels securely, ensuring proper sealing with caulking and trim carpentry techniques to prevent leaks.
- Coordinate with team members on fabrication and assembly of custom glass components, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Perform heavy lifting safely when transporting and positioning large glass panels or framing components on construction sites.
- Complete quality checks on measurements and installation accuracy, making adjustments as needed to meet safety standards and client expectations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in glass installation and carpentry.
- Experience with window installation, door hanging, drywall finishing, metal stud framing, and fixture installation.
- Ability to handle glass materials safely during manufacturing, transportation, and installation processes.
- Skilled in measurement (quality control), drywall finishing, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects.
- Construction site experience with heavy lifting, safety protocols, and working at heights when necessary.
- Familiarity with construction painting, cabinetry installation, metal framing systems, and handyman tasks enhances versatility in project execution.
