Accountant – Construction Industry
North Miami, FL, 33161 | Full-Time- Onsite
Morning shift
$65,000 – $75,000 annually
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations for a high-end construction company. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role requires strong analytical skills, construction accounting experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, reconcile, and manage transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Process AP/AR, including subcontractor and client payment applications
- Perform month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, reports, forecasts, and cash flow analysis
- Coordinate payroll review and job cost allocation
- Support tax preparation, audits, and GAAP compliance
- Manage intercompany transactions and build custom financial reports
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting and financial planning
- Optimize accounting systems and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (construction required)
- QuickBooks Online proficiency (minimum 3 years)
- Advanced Excel and strong GAAP knowledge
- CPA, OneStream experience, and French/English bilingual skills are a plus
- Valid U.S. work authorization and flexibility to work overtime as needed
