Accounts Payable Supervisor

Seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor in the Deerfield Beach, Florida office. This position reports to the Accounting Services Manager. The primary function of this role is to lead the Accounts Payable Clerk team and assist with processing invoices, preparing checks for payment, and maintaining proper control of all areas of the payables group within company guidelines. This role requires broad knowledge and understanding of various accounting and finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Verify receipt, price, and quantity of all products and services received; code and input outstanding invoices into systems (DataStream & SAP) for payment; and verify computer batch reports for input accuracy.
• Reconcile statements, handle vendor concerns, and maintain files for all accounts.
• Proof, correct, and post all invoices entered directly into payables systems.
• Review vendor statements for past-due invoices and/or credits and follow up as necessary.
• Generate various spreadsheets and reports for month-end and year-end close.
• Match checks with invoices and prepare for mailing.
• Maintain working relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Evaluate compliance of vendor agreements and reconcile dispute notifications from vendors against existing agreements.
• Serve as backup to other Accounts Payable Clerks in their absence.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with professional decorum.

• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2–4 years of related experience.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
• Positive attitude with a focus on achieving goals and delivering results.
