A day in this role: You start by reviewing overnight MRP signals and supplier confirmations, fine‑tuning planning parameters, and clearing any exceptions that could disrupt production. Mid‑morning is for supplier follow‑ups and expediting, ensuring every raw material arrives on time. In the afternoon, you validate inventory accuracy, adjust safety stocks, and publish clear reports that guide decisions across operations. You close the day aligning with production, logistics, and quality on any risks and continuous improvement actions.

- Run end‑to‑end materials planning within established ERP/MRP systems to maintain uninterrupted material availability.
- Track vendor performance and resolve delivery issues quickly; take proactive measures to prevent shortages and line stops.
- Own daily operational tasks, including parameter maintenance (lead times, order quantities, safety stocks) to meet service and inventory targets.
- Execute inventory control activities to safeguard accuracy and material flow between receiving, stores, and production.
- Collect, interpret, and validate data from standard sources to support planning and performance analysis.
- Build and distribute concise, accurate reports and dashboards for decision‑making and KPI tracking.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional partners (production, logistics, quality, finance) to manage routine requests and align on plan changes.
- Contribute ideas that streamline processes and reduce waste across the supply chain.
- Participate in operational reviews and help identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Engage in training, coaching, and skill‑building tailored to your role.
- Stay current on relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Action planning and follow‑through.

- Bachelor’s degree or CPIM certification (preferred).
- 2 years in operations, inventory, supply chain, or a related process area.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and MRP planning.
- Strong Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office skills; data analysis and reporting preferred.
- Background in automotive or manufacturing environments (preferred).
- Team‑oriented, adaptable, and skilled at managing shifting priorities.
